The Award Night will be a sit-down dinner, and the dress attire is 'black-tie'.

Simply, 'black-tie' attire is best translated to formal evening-wear. Guests commonly choose floor-length (gown) or knee-length dresses (formal cocktail dress) and suits (with a tie).
